Question about Recovery House for Dr. Cardenas/Beauty Enhance

Recommended Posts

I got a consultation done with Dr. Cardenas. I understand that one of their "selling points" is a dedicated recovery house rather than hotel rooms. However, based on the Facebook pictures it looks like there are rooms with at least 2 to 3 beds. Also, the bathrooms look shared as well. Given that the post-op period is one where you are in pain and require privacy, it's not clear to me why such an arrangement would be superior than a private hotel room.

For those of you who have gotten procedures done with Dr. Cardenas - what was your experience like when it comes to the sleeping/bathroom arrangements?

I'm pretty sure that's where@BellaBloom had her plastics, maybe she can discuss her experience! Or look for her posts, she may have talked about it.

I am at the recovery house now. And it’s far superior than any hotel. You are going to need the help. It’s like a family here. Everyone is very friendly. It’s so very comfy here. It’s reassuring talking with a roomie who’s going through the same things. I’ve not had any problems and after having it this way I’d not prefer it any other way. I say this as a current patient and a nurse.

Wow @nurse247 (and where did you have your boobs done and did you do your arms too?)

What was the cost of this procedure?

Thanks for taking time out of your recovery to respond to my question. Hope you get well soon.

Can you confirm that everyone there is female? I think sharing a room with a male would be a deal-breaker for me.

Everyone here for my stay is female. I think male patients are not as common. They make sure to make everyone’s stay a comfortable one. If there was a male, they have different rooms. They have thought of everything. Well worth the money and a safe investment in assuring your body recovers.

How much were you before?? And how long did it take you to lose the amount? I just had my bypass on Friday I'm down 15 lbs so far

Sent from my SM-J700T using BariatricPal mobile app

It took me a year to lose 130 lbs. in my humble nurse opinion it is best to do something like this after having children and when you are close or at your goal weight. The first year you go through a lot of changes. The most critical months are the ones when you are fresh post op. It is necessary to develop and maintain good nutrition habits. I wish you luck and all the best! Congrats on your surgery!

@nurse247 you look so good, not a lot of swelling.

Questions - I think I see on your fleur-de-lis a belly button - on others I see no belly button? Was there a special technique for getting to keep one or is it dependant on the individual?

And did the Dr do Lipo on the pubis mons and 'fix' that area?

And are you having this doc do anymore surgeries?

Thanks.

Everyone should have a belly button, though I cannot speak for others surgeons work. The surgeon just detached my old one and pulled it through to the new abdomen skin. Yes she did lipo the pubic area. It was too poofy.

Yes I’m coming back in a few months for boobs and arms.

Thanks @nurse247

I have heard she is super with brachioplasty and boobs - curious if she ever does the 'Y' incision brachioplasty. Let me know if she has techniques for minimizing the scar on the arm.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
