I am 3 months out from the GSV procedure and will be having a hysterectomy at the end of this month. Does anyone know if I should expect any recovery issues? The procedure will be done robotically and I am keeping my ovaries.

Is this something my Bariatric surgeon should know about?

Sorry! I just saw this post. I hope you have had your surgery and recovered.

I had my sleeve sept 2016 and hysterectomy in Sept 2017. Because I had csections my hysterectomy was a large incision. The hysterectomy took almost 5 weeks to feel better. My sleeve was simple and I was back to work right away. The hysterectomy took a lot longer.

Hope you are healing and feeling well!

I am backwards to your procedures. Had a hysterectomy yesterday & scheduled for VSG next Monday. Hasn’t been that difficult or super painful so far and having surgery yesterday & not being very active has helped me with the liquid diet part.

How are you recouping? Which recover is worse?

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
