AS i am browsing around here I am noticing a few people who have had thier bands removed. What would be the reason that you would want to do this. I'm very curious because I am planning to leave it in permanently.

Removal is normally done due to medical necessity, e.g. someone's band has eroded or it has slipped and the non-surgical routes have not corrected the problem.
