Thank you 😊

Hi @MissT_SR,

The goal is totally up to you however since you are very fresh off of surgery, be kind to yourself and know that the first month or so can be really weird and unpredictable due to stalls, healing, fatigue, etc. So, my advice would to post a goal that is not too high but reasonable. Its truly up to you but perhaps 10-12 lbs? Some people lose very little the first month and I have heard of others losing 30 lbs in 2 months!! So, focus on healing and making your body comfortable. Congratulations on your surgery and glad to have you in the challenge!

Just try something doable go for 2# a week but don't get hung up on a number..u may lose inches and not pounds...u may supersede ur goal and that's a bonus

My weight fluctuates between 192-194lbs

9 week goal..hmm... 180lbs? Is that realistic? I'm not the fastest loser

Starting weight: 205lbs.

Goal weight: 197lbs.

I never seem to make my goals, so we'll try for a super modest one!

Thanks for this- I think 10 pounds is reasonable and would put me in the middle of none and some :) I'm OK with that.

I'll go home tonight, weigh myself and post....

I have pretty much the same goal.
I’m 162 and want to get to 145, but everyone keeps telling me it’s too low and I’ll look sick...
How tall are you?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
