MissSimpson 81 Posted December 29, 2017 Got my sleeve yesterday. Had a rough night with a lot of pain and nausea. Not a lot of gas pains like I thought I’d have, but I am burping a lot. My nurse has been great with bringing me pain/nausea meds. How’s everyone else doing? 3 tankheadmommy, Angela L. Morris and Linz13 reacted to this

It is normal with your new stomach to have the pain/nausea. The key is staying on top of it. My nurses were really good too. I've been home a week and I have no nausea and almost no pain. I just get cramping and bloated a little when I have my shakes (I had bypass surgery).

I had my TNT this morning. Hopefully everything will go as planned! 1 tankheadmommy reacted to this
cairomama 10 Posted December 29, 2017 The gas pain is honestly the worse right. I had my TNT this morning. Hopefully everything will go as planned! It is, but it doesn't last long. Hang in there and ask for pain meds before you actually need them! 1 tankheadmommy reacted to this

I lost 24 since the surgery but in the last 2-3 days I have not lost any weight. I'm still doing my liquid diet. I haven’t been exercising, but I do plan to. I’ve been trying to get back to normal life, but I am so tired! I started eating small amounts of soft Protein in the second week. It helped. It seems that the main problems are drinking fluids and fatigue.

I just got my bypass Tuesday and I didn't have a lot of gas coming out the other end until just this morning and I felt much better afterwards I'm glad to hear yours is going good I've been trying to reach out and ask some questions to people but I'm not very computer savvy so I'm sure it'll be hit-and-miss I'm just glad to hear that yours came out well 1 tankheadmommy reacted to this

My surgeon told me I could drive in 3-4 days as long as they were short drives. 3 miles to work! I had my sleeve on a Monday (12/18) and went to work 1/2 day on Friday. Another few days off for Christmas and now I am back to work full time. I have a desk job that includes getting up off my chair every 5 minutes! I take the long way wherever I walk! 1 tankheadmommy reacted to this

andelw 3 Posted December 30, 2017 Stay focused and trust the process. I was one that fortunately had no issues and is feeling a million bucks. The Fluid intake takes time but will get better everyday. I also had my surgery on 12/18. This support group has been the key factor for my sanity during the Pre-Op process. Since surgery I have lost 24 pounds in 1 week. 53 pounds since October. Just continue to take it one day at a time and trust the process. We are all here to lean on. We got you!!!I finally feel better! I had a bad infection in my main incision. It started draining last night and I went to the ER. They drained it the rest of the way and started me on antibiotics. The amount I feel better and am able to eat and drink is DRASTIC! I hate that there was an infection but I'm sooo glad that's what it was and there wasn't something wrong with my bypass! Lesson learned-don't ignore your gut feeling that something might be wrong.
