Remember they are liquids so it counts towards your liquid goal. They were a Godsend! Also, I was off pain meds on day 4. Last time I took them was on night #5 to help me sleep. 1 Angela L. SupernaturalWhovian 8 Posted December 31, 2017 Imagine organic ramen broth (black box) is delicious for the full liquids phase. Way tastier than any other broth I’ve tried.

Linz13 34 Posted January 1, 2018 I went to a walkin clinic today because two of my incisions looked red around the outside and found out incisions were infected so now I'm taking antibiotics, other than that the pain isn't terrible, I've been walking quite a lot which is helping get the gas that is left from surgery. Hopefully everything continues to improve and I get my infection cleared up and don't have any kind of other complications, fingers crossed! Hope everyone has a Happy New Year! 🎉🎊🎉🎊 1 tankheadmommy reacted to this

NiaLotus 4 Posted January 4, 2018 My surgery was on the 27th. Today is a week post op and I'm so tired of liquids. I had a lot of nausea the first few days. I'm looking forward to the maintenance stage. I have so many low carb bariatric meals that I can't wait to try. 1 tankheadmommy reacted to this

I am now lactose intolerant and I am having trouble with Protein Shakes. It has not been easy finding an alternative, but I'm working on it. The light is at the end of the tunnel and I can't wait to get there to pureed and soft foods![emoji4]Sent from my SM-T818T using BariatricPal mobile app
NiaLotus 4 Posted January 8, 2018 I have always been lactose intolerant and I was happy to find that Muscle Milk in a non-dairy Protein Shake. I drink the strawberry and chocolate. There is also a brand called Premier Protein. It doesn't say dairy free but the ingredients are similar to Muscle Milk and I haven't had any issues with it. I prefer the flavor of Muscle Milk. I have bought everything I want to eat for my pureed stage which starts Thursday! I so looking forward to it. 1 real sight reacted to this

The Protein Shakes make me constipated, ThankU I add Miralax (once a day) to my Protein Drink and it does not have a flavor. It helps with the Constipation.< br>Things I eat during pureed stage: guacamoletunalentil soupegg salad chiliground turkeyrefried beansI make sure to get 70-80 grams of Protein and more than 64oz of Water. I put GENEPRO protein in my cocoa in the morning and I have nectar Lemon Tea (also protein) in my water at the end of the day when I'm sick of drinking water...lol.I would look at the foods you already love and see how you can make a softer version. My doctor's office said I did not have to blend my food, I just needed to chew it really well. 1 NatureLover888 reacted to this

I stopped with those Protein Shakes because of the constipation! Yuck! Also, cottage cheese is a great source of Protein. You can eat that with canned fruit in its own juice. 1 NatureLover888 reacted to this

I was just going to recommend Colace, which is a stool softener. It REALLY helps with softening things up to prevent Constipation. And if you are taking any pain pills at all, those basically 'freeze' your digestive system and prevent bowels from moving. Colace is great. My doctor recommended Metamucil, but it was disgusting...couldn't tolerate it!
Francisco82 8 Posted January 9, 2018 It has been 3 weeks since my bypass surgery. I lost about 40 pounds since the date of my surgery. I find it weird that after 3 week I'm barely hungry. I sometimes eat 1-2 per day. Today I ate a small bowl of about 3-4 oz of oatmeal and I ate about 80% then at night I had some Soup. I would like to know from others if they are going through the same thing as i am? Those who had the surgery more than 3 weeks ago did your get hungrier each week or it just stayed the same. Also I'm looking at what I want to eat, has anyone tried eating cauliflower rice or quinoa? which one should I eat and which one states better? Do you think I should be able to eat it even though it only been 3 weeks since my surgery? 4 NatureLover888, Linz13, Gladys_Overwith and 1 other reacted to this
Linz13 34 Posted January 9, 2018 Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing well! I'm amazed how good I feel, I did have a flare up of my Fibromyalgia this past Sunday I was feeling so good I forgot not to push myself. I'm feeling better now other than my arthritis. I go for my two weeks follow up this Thursday, I'm assuming my doctor will move me to the puree stage, I haven't had any issue with the shakes but I also have not experienced and hunger sensation. The smell of some food makes me want to have a bite, I was cooking bacon for my family and started crying, it was super weird but I was warned that may happen. Also good commercials advertising food bothers me a bit too. So far I've lost 20lbs since the day of my surgery. 2 Gladys_Overwith and tankheadmommy reacted to this
