Yeah. Yeah. I'm a planner. I make lists. I "What About Bob" crap to death and try to think of all the contingencies in order to work things out in advance. It's what I do. How I roll. So how many of you are Dudley Doo-Right overachievers and want to see if tracking things makes you more accountable? I already track in MFP, but there's another board which shall remain nameless, that has these daily menu threads and I find them infinitely helpful to see what others are eating, or to have someone spot something in another's menu that might cause them issues with loss or maintenance.

Will you take this poll so we can see how many of us knuckleheads want to participate? Oh and please drop a comment to discuss how frequently to start a new menu thread (daily, weekly, monthly, never, etc)!

TIA mucho! MUAH! :780_sparkling_heart::460_circus_tent::259_elephant:(hehehe--oh you 60lb losers know what I'm talkin' bout here... ;) )

What do you think on how frequently we start a new thread? Should we do a daily thread?

Hmm for menu.. I guess it will be when pretty much all of us could start eating something. Not against it . No-weekly wouldn’t be so bad.

And a random thread .. daily is good.

I think a weekly thread would be fine unless the group posting gets very large. But yes, I like seeing what others are eating.

Today I had high-protein oatmeal with half an apple for Breakfast (ate about three-quarters of it). Also a cup of coffee with some cream.

I'll admit that I've been having trouble having three meals a day. Usually have two--just not hungry.

I meant to say Bi-weekly.

Ok. I was thinking we should do it in the Food/Nutrition area? Is that good for yall? That way all types of surgeries could participate. If it gets too big, we can always switch to daily or something. Yes?

I'm way too ambivalent to have to choose any of the three given options. :-)

@Rainbow_Warrior Well, the C kinda hits that ambivalent "none of the above" nerve with a little side of "******" thrown in for for fun, doesn't it? :D

Well, no!

I refuse to vote for options which include bodgee spelling or coded swearwords. :-)

ignerent [sic]

****** [sic]

The latter presented a significant problem as I could not be sure which of the six-lettered swearwords I know made sense after IGNORANT was restored.

That's the trouble with erudite, articulate academic Australians like me. <GRIN>

Yes "ignerent" was purposeful. :) So was b-i-o-t-c-h. :) The other one is my chemo brain kicking in. kserrynotserry. :D

As a cryptic crossword addict, my eyes and mind have a tendency to see the humour in potential ANAGRAMS.

Your tag, "ASPIRING EVANGELIST" immediately lit up as a news headline: EVIL ANGELS RAIN PIGS.

Also VEGAN'S LEGIT ASPIRIN ...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
