I'm very happy with my progress. I was sleeved 6/22/17. SW 319 CW 213 GW 170. I'm almost to go and just can't believe it happened so fast. People don't even recognize me I've changed so much. Of course I'm thrilled with the compliments. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I've had no trouble with the weight loss at all. I could care less about food now. But it's the unspoken things that are rough. So get ready for TMI. in the beginning it was the gas. I was miserable. But once I got more active and learned what to avoid I've learned how to deal with that. Next is the Hair loss. I have always had think curly course hair. Now it's super thin on top, falls out in hand fulls, it's limp. I'm trying Biotin and the Shampoo. So hopefully it will get better with time. Constipation OMG! gotta keep stool softeners on hand. Because what goes hand in hand with constipation hemorrhoids. Yikes!##&/#- lastly neck and back pain. It is not at all like it was 100lbs ago. Just found out via the chiropractor that when you lose a large amount of weight fast your body's equalibiruim gets off

You carry yourself differently. So I suggest getting an adjustment. It has been my saving grace. Felt like I had a knot between my shoulders for a month. Lastly the saggy skin. I haven't figured this one out yet. My arms (bat wings) are saggy. My inner thighs and my butt is saggy. So if anybody has the answers to that one I'm all ears. My winter body covered up is great but this spring I will be at goal and plan one heck of a shopping spree. Since I'm averaging 20 lbs,a month ally clothes are pretty ugh second hand. Thank goodness for thrift stores. But once I lose all this I'm hitting the mall with a vengeance. So I'm up for any suggestions. I know this post has been graphic but hey don't just a book by its cover. I'm looking good on the outside but as you can see there are downsides. But I wouldn't change a thing. I feel great have energy and my confidence is back.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
