I am so impresed with everyone's progress! I have been following a lot of Dr Weiner's videos on youtube, and I am trying to think Veggie first....but veggies fill me up so fast. I am pretty happy with my progress....and.....very happy to say that for the first time in many years I am under 200 lbs!

I am 198 as of today!!

So total loss of 65 lbs. I had surgery at the end of October, I lost 10 lbs in the 2 pre-op weeks. My goal is 175-180 ( I am just a sliver under 5'10" tall) so i think this is a decent goal for me.

Solid work!

Your Killing it mike! What does a day of food you like for you? Your weight is similar to mine looking to compare what your current intake is.

Thank you!! Appreciate that!!

I do a Premier Protein shake every morning, an egg and bacon or ham or sausage link for mid morning snack (work cafeteria makes this one easy). lunch is a few ounces of tuna, chicken or egg salad with a few pickles or cherry tomatoes. Afternoon snack is Dannon light and fit greek yogurt. dinner is a Protein and little bit of veggie and then some type of snack in the evening (almonds, peanuts, etc). Dinner is pretty much the meal where I have the most variety. Other than that I'm content to be set in my ways and have the same routine just about every day. It's working so far so I figure I'll stick with it. I don't really get a sweet tooth but every once and a while I will have a piece of sugar free candy.

I do about 110oz of Water everyday and 90-110 grams of protein.

VSG 10/11/17 HW= 360 SW= 292 CW= 224.4 GW= 220 (6'5")

I'm glad eggs haven't given me a problem. I've heard that they don't agree with a lot of people after surgery.

I wouldn’t sweat it, I went the whole month flat lined and today I was down 5 from Friday, didn’t do anything different, so not sure why.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
