NikkiK 1 Posted November 5, 2017 My biggest question is... when does the pain stop and how long were you on pain meds. It seems like the pain is getting worse in some ways. Or that it just feels more sore. Just wanted some reassurance that this is normal. I’m doing really well with recovery... as long as I keep taking the pain meds. I’m walking frequently and following instructions. I’m also tolerating liquids really well. At night though, I’m waking up with sharp pains that come on their own and I’m also waking up when I move from the pain. Is anyone else going through this? My doctor recommended a mineral oil enema. I used one yesterday and it helped but didn’t stop the pain at all. I also woke up with thrush this morning. Ugh. Using some natural remedies to heal that. Sosewsue61 3,185 Posted November 5, 2017 I had thrush, it went away in a week on its own with continuing to push liquids - I did have to take that orange pill for a UTI though for a few days. I took pain meds at night for a back/hip pain but it was several days after surgery and used a heating pad on and off as well. I am 13 days out and much improved in that area. More walking helped all of that as well. Hang in there. 1 NikkiK reacted to this
NikkiK 1 Posted November 5, 2017 Thank you. I do find that walking during the day helps to relieve the pain in the daytime. It’s just at night where it gets severe. And the Lortab 5’s are not cutting it for me. 1 Lanegra reacted to this

I would double check with yours I’ve been sleeping through the night once I take the gas-x
