BJLS 0 Posted November 1, 2017 My gastric sleeve op was not a success. A year post op, I weigh more than I did pre op. I am considering having the bypass but wondering whether the same thing will happen. Also I know it is a more serious op. Has anyone else faced this situation? Any advice? charpower 22 Posted November 3, 2017 I’ve never had that scenario but I’ve had multiple serious surgeries in my lifetime. So I know how you must feel just going into that decision making progress. Good luck with trying to decide whether the GB is for you.

I am considering having the bypass but wondering whether the same thing will happen. Also I know it is a more serious op. Has anyone else faced this situation? Any advice? I am also post sleeve 2015, and pre bypass. For reasons of severe acid reflux. My surgery is for November 20th. I lost 65 lbs but now its 55. I'm hoping I will lose the rest after the bypass, even though I am having the surgery for other reasons. Good luck to you.Sent from my VS987 using BariatricPal mobile app
charpower 22 Posted November 5, 2017 Thanks for the good wishes. Have your surgeries all been Bariatric in nature? No I have not had any type of bariatric related surgery. My gastric bypass the schedule for January 23, 2018. I’ve had heart surgery in the past and hernia repair is well a few other things I had a hysterectomy in 2013 due to cancer. I wish that I had thought that bariatric surgery was and option for me back then because I may not have had some of those surgeries anyway. But I can’t live in the past I have to look towards the future so as of now bariatric surgery the beginning of 2018 and hopefully much better health moving forward. 1 1badassbiggurl reacted to this
