KDBaker 70 Posted October 30, 2017 I just left my first post-op nutrition class. I expected to learn that I'd be on pureed or blended foods now but that's not the case. I can go straight to solid foods. I have to cut it up very small and chew thoroughly but I can do it. Has anyone else had their diet progress like this?Sent from my SM-J327V using BariatricPal mobile app
GassyGurl 428 Posted October 30, 2017 I started the mushy stage on day 3, and it included ground meat. We could have yogurt, cottage cheese, ground turkey and chicken, canned meats, pimento cheese, eggs, ricotta cheese, etc. I ate a lot of yogurt, canned chicken and ricotta. Starting day 15, we could have regular texture meats, but no red meat or veggies till after 1 month. I had no issues. KarenOR 180 Posted October 30, 2017 At my post-op, they moved to stage 3 foods, which is puréed, blended, really soft stuff. I guess it is still solid, as long as its soft.
ReeRee1548 2 Posted October 30, 2017 Same for me. About 11 days at my post-op appointment, I was told it was OK to start soft solids. Because my ultimate goal now is to stay hydrated, it has been hard to get much of anything else in. But it has been nice to at least taste and "chew" on something else (eggs, puréed meats, soft veggies) besides Protein Shakes.
