I am working on band to sleeve revision now but back when I was banded I started out at 252lbs and I don't think I felt a huge difference visually until I was in the 180s. Hang in there! Travelher 915 Posted November 2, 2017 (edited) totally normal. you need to take a lot of pictures. the mirror lies, even the scale sometimes lies. Pictures seem to be the most reliable. Body dysmorphia is common. it takes a long time for the brain to catch up. I'm wearing a size 2 now! and I still often think I need to lose more...when I'm in that mindset i take a picture and go...right, never mind it was just my fat brain talking. FlyFatA$$Fly 155 Posted November 4, 2017 I'm 66lbs down. I'm down from a 2x shirt to a medium/large,and 38 jeans to 32/34. When I look in the mirror I don't see any difference. Our minds are strange things.
hmills653 365 Posted November 13, 2017 In three past 6 mos I went from a 3X to a medium. I still feel fat. I see my collar bones but I also see my fat belly and jiggly thighs. Others say things like you look good and you're so tiny, but I still feel like a fat girl. It's hard to get past the mentality of the changes in our bodies. 2 futureslimmama and ThickGirl5683 reacted to this

futureslimmama 28 Posted November 19, 2017 I feel the same way. I have lost 65 pounds since pre-op it's almost 2.5 months. I still feel very huge. I am not slim yet by any means. I started out at 330. Sooo like super huge after having my three kids who are 2.5 years and 6 months. My pre surgery clothes are baggy, I've gone down two bra sizes. And I am wearing size 18 from 24. But when I look in my monthly pics, I look the same. In my mind. I know I am smaller but I feel 330 all again. I still have about 100 pounds to get to my goal. Maybe 98 pounds something like that. But I agree with you. I still feel fat. And not everyone has noticed I am losing. I used to lose weight in the past and at 40 pounds lost, people noticed. But I had never been 300 pounds sooo it's a different ball game for me. I suspect that people will notice when I hit 100 pound lost. So 35 pounds to go. But hang in there, you are losing weight, eventually our brains will catch up to our bodies. Great job on your losses so far.
