MochaKelly 74 Posted October 25, 2017 I couldn't stand the smell and taste of eggs after surgery (not that I was a fan before) but now I can tolerate them again and they are okay. My sensitivity to smell and taste are heightened. meat is not my friend on most days. Ugh! Sent from my XT1097 using BariatricPal mobile app

kandywolf 161 Posted October 25, 2017 I noticed my 2nd day, when I got home. Propel, Vitamin Water and Powerade are way too sweet. Even when mixed 1 part to 9 parts water.. eww! Super sweet. Smells are very bad. Again super sweet. Before surgery I washed my bedding, my comforter, throw blankets and everything I could. I had to rewash everything in free and clear detergent and use dryer balls instead of fab soft. All of my air fresheners in my house had to be unpluggedSW:350BSW:260 (10/17/17)CW:256GW:175 1 Debbie9966 reacted to this

walleyecrazy 120 Posted October 25, 2017 I used to love yogurt before surgery. I have tried eating it a few times since my surgery and just can’t stomach it anymore. The taste just gets to me immediately. I also can’t eat tuna anymore. One thing I have found weird also is that my sense of smell seems to be heightened since surgery. I don’t know how or why, but I now smell everything way more than I did pre surgery. 1 asmara_journey reacted to this
asmara_journey 0 Posted October 25, 2017 My taste buds are shot also..I don't like anything from Water to food. My surgery date was Sept 14. I've spoken to a few people at support group and some say they got theirs back in 3 months others took longer to get taste buds back.. We were in the car and I said I smell skunk (we had the windows down) my cousin said I dont smell anything. It took about a minute until she did, at that point my face was in my shirt holding my nose and breathing through my mouth. I thought For sure I was going to throw up!SW:350BSW:260 (10/17/17)CW:256GW:
