CJ Sunshine 241 Posted October 20, 2017 I guess I'm lucky...since my surgery 5 weeks ago, I have no appetite and no hunger..Once in a while I think I'm hungry, but then I eat a couple bites and I'm like, "yeah, I'm good." 1 MusicMom1384 reacted to this
Brownsleeved 6 Posted October 20, 2017 My nurse said its because of the liquids. I guess when we get to phase 3 we should get that full feeling.

Brownsleeved 6 Posted October 20, 2017 Haha I feel the same way. And the cravings come from the lack of fullness.

njgal 535 Posted October 20, 2017 Are you allowed gum? I’m not but perhaps you are. Also, popsicles... ice chips (last longer than water) 2 Nancy MBGC and brendajo reacted to this
jess9395 5,449 Posted October 20, 2017 In the first few months acid can mimic hunger. If you aren't on a acid blocker ask about one (omeprazole, protonix) if you are ask about an increased dose. The gnawing feeling an empty stomach full of acid produces feels a lot like hunger. 2 njgal and brendajo reacted to this
Apple1 2,572 Posted October 20, 2017 You need to make sure that you are following your plan. It does get better once you are back on solid foods. I was never that hungry at first, but by about 4 weeks post-op my hunger returned. Just make sure you stay away from slider junk food. Those types of foods will not help you achieve your weight loss goals. If you must snack make sure it is healthy. A certain amount of will power is necessary to make the right choices. You can do this. It is all about staying motivated to change. 1 brendajo reacted to this
