mel1214 14 Posted October 20, 2017 Had RNY yesterday morning and am so excited to feel normal. The doctor had to do some extra work because of my anatomy, but I don’t know what that means other excruciating pain. I have an insanely high pain tolerance...gave birth naturally once, had had multiple large kidneys stones and managed through it. This is truly the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. I never say my pain is a 10, but it was for several hours. It’s finally manageable at 6-8 as long as I stay on top of it with morphine every 2 hours. Hopefully I can wean that down soon. Have an upper gi in a few hours and once that’s clear I can start on the every 30 minutes ounce of clear liquid. Praying that doesn’t hurt. Outside of the pain, I feel good. Thankful for great nurses and a super sweet doctor!!! 2 SampTheChamp and insul817 reacted to this
