Naturally or due to surgery? I’ve always run in the 10-7 range. First couple of days post surgery it was 9-5 range. Now it’s back to normal (1 week post op).
I did notice my resting HR went down from 70s to 50s though and that’s back up as well.

I had to go to the doctor and have my BP med adjusted. It was lowered. I was getting dizzy now, I'm ok. So due to your surgery and weight loss your BP will probably be lower.

About a week after surgery I was feeling strange- it was a weird dizzy feeling. I checked my BP at home and it was 90/53.... so I figured I needed Water and salt to help raise it.... it helped a bit and I checked it later I. Day and was still in the 90/60 range. I was like this 2 days then called my Dr. he said to stop the BP pill. Did and a few days later without the pill I am at 115/70 ish. THE add said because I still can't drink all my liquids (I am 3 weeks out) I'm a bit dehydrated. HE said to increase my salt a bit and ensure I drink water

So if you feel your BP is low post surgery and you are on meds... call your primary care dr and they will probably have you stop your meds

Yes, my blood pressure has come way down over the last several months since surgery. I always used to be around 150/85. Now I am always around 100/65. I have never been put on blood pressure medication.

If you are drinking enough and getting some salt, and your BP is still low, you should go get checked at your doctor's. If you develop a high fever or start feeling really badly, be sure to seek treatment right away.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
