Hi everyone,

Has anyone on here had a sleeve revision? I had a sleeve almost 7 years ago my highest weight was 356lbs went down to 169 as my lowest and although I have to admit that I didn't quite loose it the way I was supposed to or: drinking coffee and smoking and working out everyday... my weight after 2 yrs started to creep up. I was still happy even at 185. Long story short I had another child 5 years later and my weight went back up to 224 and after baby went back down to about 210. Anyway two years later I had a sleeve revision on 9/12 day of surgery I was 247 today 5 weeks out I am 227 20lbs in 5 weeks it's not nearly enough. I am so depressed. I don't eat anything more than 800 calories a day sometimes only 5-600 a day I walk i just don't know what I am doing wrong. I feel like I am not where I should be. Anyone with a revision have this issue? I do feel full and I stop eating? So why am I at a two week plateau!! This is very frustrating!!!

If once didn’t solve my weight problem, damned if I would do it again. I would not go through the Hair loss, Vitamin deficiencies, etc. I’m done.

This is interesting. I didn't know a sleeve revision could be done. Sorry this happened. Maybe you are just stalled? Could you have done a sleeve to bypass?

What did your surgeon say? Hopefully, the weightloss will start again.

But you don't go through the same issues like the first time because your body already was in shock

Seriously I applaud anyone with the strength to keep going. I am at 190 and the scales refuse to move. On the positive note, my husband lost 100 lbs and I am the happiest wife on the universe because he would not have done the sleeve if i had not led him into it. I had diabetes, HBP and asthma, which qualified me. My 70 year old husband is thin and not dieting for the first time In his entire life. Years of watching him starve, Diet, be made fun of, make me so thankful for the VSG! And have not had to call Rescue in four years, thank you Jesus. Diabetes was killing him. Good luck all!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
