Jeriberi30 1 Posted October 17, 2017 After my sleeve surgery (12/12/16) the bariatric nurse told me that I would not feel hunger for about a year. Was anyone else told that? So the last couple of weeks, I am HUNGRY all the time! Still eating the same, about 100g Protein daily, low carbs, working out and drinking tons of Water. I've lost right at 80 since surgery. Anyone else have this issue? I am scared.... it is truly a struggle, again.
Pescador 1,374 Posted October 17, 2017 It gets worse. I starve myself, no carbs in this house, and I cannot lose a pound after regaining 30 lbs. 1 hillnicole34 reacted to this

Berry78 4,261 Posted October 17, 2017 Miss Robin is at goal, so she gets Peanut Butter. For anyone wanting to keep losing... fill up on non-starchy veggies. Don't add fat unless you're Keto. My favorite way of preparing veggies.. Uncooked: pick up a Tomato or bell pepper and eat it like an apple. Cooked: boil things like green Beans and broccoli in an inch or two of Water (covered). When its pretty much done cooking, let the water cook off and the veggies brown (not burn). It caramelizes the naturally occuring sugars and yum yum. I frequently don't even have to add water to frozen veggies cooked this way. ... maybe not as healthy as lightly steamed, but I'll eat a bunch more of it and not feel deprived. 3 FluffyChix, Jeriberi30 and njgal reacted to this

Apple1 2,572 Posted October 18, 2017 Also measure out 1 oz of nuts and have that if you are able to eat nuts. They are calorie dense and it will help curb hunger. Make sure you weigh your portion! The key is to find healthy alternatives stay away from processed sugar!! I eat a ton of salads now. They are low calorie, healthy, and it works for me.
