There are two phases to weight loss surgery, the weight loss phase and the maintenance phase. For RNY gastric bypass patients, the strategy for these two phases is different. You may be nearing the maintenance phase. I transitioned to maintenance at around 7 months. The following article provides my perception of the maintenance phase. http://www.breadandbutterscience.com/Surgery2.pdf

You don't have to be in maintenance if you don't want to be.

It's easy to get "calorie creep" that slows losses. Be sure to track for several days to see where you're at. You want to stay below 1200 to keep the scale moving.

Stalls can still happen for a week or two.. so if your calories are in line, then that may be what is going on.

You're lookin' great!

It can be a stall if you are getting the right amount of Protein & Water but not too many carbs plus the right amount of exercising. I am at just over 1 year & have been still losing & still having stalls. But I do log what I am eating & trying to stay under a 1000 calories.

Try not to make excuses, I am not being harsh, but taking responsibility and ownership is the only thing that will help you, yes you work full time jobs that must be hard, but before you have a pee before bed, weigh your food, put them in packages, then eat the same thing for a few days that simplifies it enough. It really is not a long winded afair. I am just being honest, not judging you, as I dont weigh my food unless things are not on track.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
