I don’t know how to change my start date weight and current weight in my profile. But here is a pic 4 days post op and then yesterday at a month but only lost 11lbs :( since surgery but lost 20 before so 31 total.

Hoping next month is better.

Congratulations!!!! We all get stalled along on our journey. 31 pounds is fabulous. Your body is adjusting to the change do not get discouraged because you only lost 11lbs one month. That is excellent. Our bodies all loose at different paces and it is ok. I am one yr and 2 months post op 84 pounds down. I had stalls some months 4 pounds others over 10 pounds and as you get closer to a year you will start loosing slower and it is ok. Just follow Drs orders and you will be fine. You look amazing and congrats again!!!![emoji6]

Girl same! I am a month and a week post op and have been stalled for the past 2 weeks. I have lost 13 pounds since surgery on September 12. I am so discouraged because I honestly could have gotten this far without surgery, but I know that I am still healing and that the weight loss will continue. I have been fighting with the same 3 pounds since week 3!

You only have 50 some odd pounds to lose till goal, and 11 months in which to do so. I think you'll be ok.

You have to look at your total loss. I lost more than that the first month but I had lost nothing pre-op because I didn't have a pre-op diet. Also, people with more to lose will lose more quickly. My goal was 100 pounds. Some people have 150 or 200 to lose. You are doing great!!

Ok. Thank you. I’m trying to get enough protein as it is. It’s SO hard. But I can see those two things may jump start the metabolism.

Girl same! I lost twenty pounds the first 2 weeks and these last 2 weeks I've been in a stall. I'm so scared I messed something up with my sleeve (but realistically I know I haven't). I'm trying to figure out how to get my body out of this funk and to restart the weightloss. I'm going to start going to the gym again and hope for the best...... fingers crossed!

ME TOO! Today is my one month surgiversary also and I am down 16 pounds, four of which I lost pre-op but I really did not have much of a pre-op diet because I was too close to BMI. SO very slow...it feels like it anyway. I can tell a difference in my clothes. I said the same thing about I could have come this far on my own but the truth is it will come off if we stick to the program. It might be slow and often times I have to remind myself there is no way I can't be losing when the options I choose for eating are drastically different than they used to be and in way smaller quantities.

We got this. You all made me feel better about not losing much.

Congratulations! You look FABULOUS!!!! I definitely see a BIG change. Slower loss is better in the long run.

Well, thank you. I’m keeping the faith and maybe the scale isn’t moving but my clothes are..:)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
