I love quiche! Not a bad idea. Just a little would be all that i need

I make them in muffin tins and sometimes make a bacon crust. So good and tons of flavor combinations.

Do you cook the bacon crust first? How do you get it crisp?

I do Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, sandwich meat wrapped in cheese, I make these egg soufflés one egg spinach and cheese, hummus snack boxes, cashews, edamame and my protein

These sound like much healthier options than some of the others listed!

I'm having surgery in a few days so I'm taking note. 😊

For those unable to have cheese/quiche, although lots of great options mentioned here, anyone have favorite ideas for occasional "dry" items (cracker, etc.)? I see the thin bread with tuna. Thanks!

I make little snack baggies of walnuts and dried cranberries or some other dried fruit that doesn't have added sugar. I do 1 ounce walnuts to .5 ounce dried fruit. I have to have a little carbs in my day, hence the dried fruit.

The cheese sticks are great with an ounce of turkey wrapped around it and they fit nicely in the little snack baggies as well.

I make "chicken fingers" .... pure Protein and easy .

1 can of chicken

1 cup shredded cheese

1 egg

( I add 1/2 tsp.each onion & garlic powder )

Squeeze all the Water out of a can of chicken and shred with a fork. Add shredded cheddar cheese and one egg. Mix and shape into fish stick size pieces. Bake on parchment paper at 400 for 20 minutes. Dip into sugar free ranch dressing. I keep a container in the fridge and eat as I want :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
