I don't focus on calories but my food tracker (I use the free part of Lose It, works great and you can even scan barcodes) does so I see what I eat. I'm only three months out and usually in the 800-900s. I lose ounces pretty much daily. Very slow weight loss but VERY steady. I eat tons of fat apparently. I don't try to but I eat full fat everything and I see my pie chart at the end of each day

I'm not stopping eating fat since I am continuously losing at a steady pace. About 35 lbs down since before pre op diet. But I was a low BMI obese person.

I was right around 900 calories at 3-4 months post op. I'm now about 1100-1300 at 9.5 months out.

I was probably around 750-800 at that time. Now I'm about 1250 and am 1 year and 4 months out

I hit four months next week and looking back at my food logs I average between 750-850.

I'm just over four months out now, and usually end the day around 1000-1100 calories. I've never received a specific target from my doc or nutritionist, but since I recently increased my Protein goals my calories went up a bit as well.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
