Nancy MBGC 90 Posted October 11, 2017 My EKG looks different than it did in May. My surgeon won't touch me until I see a Cardiologist. I go see her tomorrow. Today is my pre op. I think the EKG is a mistake. It often happens when a lead is not placed correctly. My surgery is Tuesday. I've come so far. Ya'll keep me in your prayers. I'm ready to do this. My insurance runs out in December.

JeffN 106 Posted October 12, 2017 My EKG said I had a heart attack, which I thought I never did but come to find out I was having mini TI's while I was sleeping because my CPAP was malfunctioning and not giving me the pressure it was programmed. Don't take the reading and dismiss it. Take the advice of your Dr. and seek out a Cardiologist. I know it will delay your surgery but it is far better to be safe than sorry, and it is dangerous to put a large person under anesthesia let alone someone who has a possible heart condition. My insurance runs out in December. I hope it wasn't a heart attack. Also, no worries about your insurance running out. You can always request an extension. They gave me 6+months extension. I was supposed to have my surgery in February this year, but I pushed it back to September.
