Lump in throats after surgery ?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys hope everyone's well , ever since surgery I feel like there's a lump in my throat like something's stuck I can't shake the feeling :( anyone have this same issue ? Not sure if it's from endoscopy that they did to make sure everything went smooth I'm just trying to feel normal again and this doesn't help

I had that and my throat was also sore for a week or so. Now two months out I still feel a bit of a lump bit it's not uncomfortable. I don't usually notice it.

I wonder if it's from when they do the endoscopy but that would of meant they were rather rough I say that only because the last one I had I was fine I didn't know if anyone else had the same issue

The breathing tube could also irritate your throat.

I have the same. It doesn’t mean they were rough, I guess. Yes, it has been irritated with pipes, plus you got your fluids through IV for about 2 days, and a few more days after you (most likely) was dehydrated. That’s a perfect condition to get some soreness or even mild infection. It should go away soon.

Lump in throat is a hallmark sign of GERD. When I first got GERD years ago I described it like feeling like there's a golfball in my throat.

Could either be new onset (or a bad flare up of) GERD, or possibly acid damage/swelling related to being under anesthesia
