Wow, that's some list. I guess your surgeon has a reason for each, I had the Hibiclens beforehand, its just soap, not really a drug. They gave me some stuff just prior to surgery so I may have had something on there and didn't realize it. I only got Tylenol with codeine for pain, no Oxy, but that was plenty. And the Lovenox shots for two weeks, that was fun. And there was a anti-nausea pill with a long name starting with an O that I wound up not needing.

The only thing that seems abnormal is the mouth wash and the 4 days of using the antibacterial soap. I used used it the night before and day of surgery.

I had a PPI, anti-nausea, oxy, tylenol w/codine,

I would rather have a cautious Dr than one that wasn't. Overall is pretty normal but everyone doesn't get all those. Like I filled all my scripts, but I didn't use them all. I was never really nausous so I never used that, and I stopped taking pain meds when I got home so I could drive. I stil have those pain meds on the shelf. The PPI don't skip it.

Yup I had all of those except the mouthwash too. And I had an antinausea patch for behind my ear too.

The enmend is an amazing anti nausea! So much better than zofran (generic name for zofran is ondansetron). It can be really pricey though.

Yes, I guess that’s one way of looking at it

Only a scrip for oxy, and wipes for bathing with after my shower the night before, and then wipes morning of surgery. I asked about a PPI and he said I won't need it? And will give anti-nausea if needed...

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
