In the first three months I had kick ass weight loss then at the end of 3 months things really slow down and I thought I was stuck. The scale just wouldn't budge no matter what! Right about that time I also twisted my ankle and fell so I couldn't go to the gym for 2 weeks. I was freaked out because I thought two weeks without the gym would even make things worse.

However, after a two to three-week so-called stall, or no weight loss, then two weeks of not being able to go to the gym I lost 8 pounds! I think not going to the gym 6 days a week and pushing like crazy was the key. So now I'm down 10 pounds!

At 4 weeks yesterday I have lost a little over 60 lb and am 10 lbs from goal! I think I'm going to lower my goal weight now that I'm so close to it.

I definitely could handle losing another 15 lb instead of 10. I was fortunate that I did not have hundreds of pounds to lose so I'm getting to go very quickly.

I'm thrilled with the process so far. I'm still having trouble getting all my food in. I haven't been able to eat as many meals per day as I would like to. And I am getting nauseous still after I eat.

I know it takes time and I am patient and have all the time in the world!

I'm almost 3 months out and about 8 week mark I stalled for 2 weeks! I always lose the least the week of my period. I didn't understand how bad it sucks until it happened to me. I know I get on the scale way too much.

That makes so much sense. I’m going to have to start tracking this. Thank you!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
