If you are not overeating then it has to be the types of food that you are eating.

I am on an extended business trip and I very quickly gained over 10 pounds in under 2 months from bad food choices. I'm taking it off now. I have switched to a low fat plant based diet. Google if you are interested, it's excellent for health and weight management.

She actually said she doesn't eat. Must of gained 61lbs on air, you know how fattening air can be when you gulp it in with a burger in your hand, its the air not the burger.

Has anyone been re-sleeved? I was sleeved 06/29/10. My highest weight was 343 and I dropped to 211 in less than a year. Unfortunately, after that year my weight started to creep back slowly. First 20 pounds, then 30....now I'm back up to 272 pounds!! I always told myself that I would never go back to where I came and from and look where I am. I spoke to the Bariatric center here in Charlotte and they explained that being "sleeved" again is actually an option. I had such an effortless great surgery in 2010 and I'm curious if there will be any risks that are greater now.

I am 5 days post op resleeved. I regained 40 lbs and felts and looked like crap! Now I’m getting a second chance and I’m really scared to death this time! My emotions are everywhere! I’m happy sad mad grouchy bitchy! I’m down 11 lbs and I’m on Water and ice pops!!! I feel like I’m slowly starving myself lol

Lets rewind, your weightgain is caused by stress - being re sleeved does not remove stress. getting older- you will continue aging despite resleeving your lack of time to be active wont change because your resleeved, being resleeved will give you a change to keep it right? keep what right when youve gained 61lbs from never overeating?

Unless you have other health issues, you don't gain 61lbs from air and just from what you mentioned ALONE. In combination sure. But have a visit to your doctor and do further investigation if that is the truth.
You said you dont eat, so.. the sleeve will.. make you not eat more? its a confusing one, goodluck i think when some one is ready to be honest it makes the world of good [emoji4] All the best.

Just an FYI when I first inquired to be resleeved I had an endoscopy done to find out what the problem was and my stomach was totally stretched. My doctor shared with me that when I first got the sleeve five years ago they weren’t taking chances and doing the sleeve as tight as they are doing them now and that’s one of the reasons why my stomach stretched and I was having a weight gain

Yes. Your sleeve may have streched. But your having weight gain because your eating too much. Many people can have a bigger sleeve without filling it.

I'm not sure if you understand what I'm saying 61lbs and don't eat anything doesn't add up . So if your sleeve stretched you put food in it to stretch it. If you gained 61lbs and have no other health issues were did it come from if you didn't eat ?

I'm not judging you but we have to take responsibility or we can't make changes.

So if you can be honest to say what you ate to gain 61lbs. Perhaps someone can even help you with food ideas to swap to help you lose again. If you continue to say you eat nothing. When your sleeve has stretched and you gain 61lbs.. then how can someone help ?

We all may slip up without noticing. And you may have another surgery but we still have to be mindful or it will stretch again

But goodluck anyway

Edit sorry I just noticed your not the original poster lol I thought you were replying to me because you were ! :)

There’s a difference between overeating in a single sitting and not feeling restriction, and grazing all day in such small amounts that your sleeve never feels it but you end up ingesting 2500 calories per day. Are you tracking your intake? Is it possible you’re eating very small meals, but grazing so much you’re gaining weight?

Not sure who pissed in your Cheerios but maybe you can take your jerk ass elsewhere?

👏Thank you.

I was going to say the same thing. This is a place for honesty and support, not nastiness.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
