Please sign the following letter...

Dear Mr. Fluffy?

We heard you like to eat. Good cooks deserve good tools and great ingredients. Enjoy crustless fried chicken today! Love your wings tomorrow! The sky's the limit--so long as you buy Fluffy an air fryer.

Enjoy succulently moist and tender pot roasts and fall apart tender brisket. Save money on tough cuts while enjoying the culinary delights prepared by your little flightless bird! Get the Instant Pot for near instant gustatory rewards.

Get them both for Fluffy this Christmas. She needs them. YOU need them. Help her, help you!

Signed sincerely,

Conserned Observer

See now you have me wondering and thinking that I need an instant pot. I use my crock pot at least 3 times a week. I work a split shift from home so even though I can't eat dinner with the kids they still have dinner. lol Why do I need an instant pot. And I think you should get both btw I will sign the letter.

Ok y'all...is it REALLY like fried food? I've been on the fence...I want one of these and an instant pot, but dayum...I've got small appliances coming out of my ass! Literally! Out. OF. MY. ASS!!! Am I yelling?

But at night, these 2 little cooks' helpers whisper my name and croon to me to buy them and make them mine...

Is the air fryer TRULY worth it? Or will I feel used and abused by morning?

Just my experience with an airfrier. It's excellent for potatoes, frozen food (chicken tenders fish sticks fries basically **** we shouldn't be eating), and it's pretty damn good for faux fried foods (chicken and fish). I haven't tried it on anything else so that's all I know.

As for the faux fried foods it really depends how healthy you wanna make it. Yes you could make chicken that taste like it was fried, but you'd have to add quite a bit of breading (if you want breading) and oil (yes you still use oil with air frying but MUCH MUCH less).

For example I'm a picky eater and I've only enjoyed fish fried. The last few days I tried air frying fish. I probably used a tablespoon of fine almond flour (roughly 40 calories and this is enough for me to make 2 small meals) and a "spritz" of oil (I basically use a Pam spray bottle and barely give it a tiny bit of oil it's extremely little)

The end product comes out very light with not much color, and has a little but not a lot of crunch. It absolutely does not taste like fried fish, however it is "close enough" that I could enjoy it especially knowing it's actually quite healthy. If you added a decent amount of oil (or used a moderate amount of breading or less healthy breading ie breadcrumbs) it would be less healthy and taste more fried.

I think chicken is easier to make taste like it's fried if you brine it (not everybody likes brined chicken, I personally love it)

Overall I am happy with my purchase and have no regrets but don't think it's a life changer either

I am so glad to find this topic. I am only 9 days post op and have been thinking about purchasing an air fryer (after watching an infomercial...lol). I am struggling thinking about what I will cook when I can eat food. These comments sold me, because it looks like it will allow me to eat healthy while still satisfying my non-dieting boyfriend. Is the instant pot good as well?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
