Coffee anyone???

I started drinking Decaf at week 2. I still mostly drink it, although some days I have regular. I find that I have more acid reflux issues when I drink regular coffee. I don't know if it is more acidic or not.

I heard that cold-brews don't irritate the stomach as much. Has anyone heard that?

All I can tell you is what I did to prove that coffee does have an effect upon my hydration status. I can only speak to what works for me. My Dr. told me to stay away from coffee because it aggravates the stomach more than the dehydration arguments.

I started drinking cold brew about a week after surgery. I gave up eating and cigarettes, you pry my caffeine from my cold, dead hands!

I do drink a lot less though. One cup of coffee or one non-carbinated energy drink a day.

My husband started coffee about a month out. To be fair, we had a newborn at the time so he was really sleep deprived. It took me about six month before I had caffeine. Our surgeon said a year, but I had a tiny baby, was working full time, and in grad school. I needed something. Only one cup a day and only 1 mini-moo of half and half (it's 10 calories).

I found that coffee increases acidity an can cause digestive issues. I drank over two pots a day before surgery and have not drank any since.
