Since my weight has come down I'm waking up early morning with massive amounts of energy it's like nothing I've ever experienced before, I'm walk-run-sprinting for 10 kilometres and returning home and lifting weights for 30 mins and still cannot sit or relax due to the amount of energy running through me, normally this has been happening between 8am -9.30am then goes away, anyone else experienced this?

I had it from like 6 to 18 months. I literally could not sit still I had so much energy I was moving all the time, even sitting at my desk in my office. It has calmed down some but not really. I have boundless energy, it is pretty awesome. It is like gaining a super power.

Which is way better than being known as the super-hero, SUPPER-MAN.

I am about 2 months out, and can't say that I have tons of energy. I really have to overdose on B12 just to have energy for my gym workouts. That 2,000 mcg per day is a life saver. I think that I might be tired, because I started waking up 1 1/2 hours earlier M-F so that I can get the kiddo to MS volleyball practice at 6am. I just can't get used to it. Oh well, it will all be over in November, so I hope that my energy levels start to increase soon after that is over and done with.

When your calories get higher you will probably have more energy. I never had a lot of sustained energy until I was over 1100 calories a day.

That is good to know. I can barely stay awake by late afternoon, early evening on weekdays. I'm fine on weekends, probably because I don't have any work related stress.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
