I like to keep it simple.

1. Cottage cheese (or yogurt) and fruit

2. black Beans and sweet potato

3. Spinach and banana smoothie

Basically, the only things I eat (18 days postop) are:
-light and fit greek yogurt
-morningstar spicy black bean 'burger'
-cottage cheese
-premier Protein shake
-eggs

I can't think of anything else to eat either. meat gets stuck, even deli meat, so I'm not bothering with meat at this point.

But I too am getting bored with what I'm eating. What is everyone else eating?

Hello

i think you should try oatmeal. It is very soothing for your stomach. It works for me and may work for you. I also make my own Protein Shakes with Peanut Butter , half banana , strawberry or any fruit you like with Gogi berry and I add a scoop of organize greens powder. I hope this can help you.

I use oatmeal with a spoonful of peanut or almond butter and almond milk. If you need it a tad sweeter blueberries or a small amount of maple Syrup gets me through the morning

Protein Powder Mug Cake.< /p>

One scoop Protein powder. 1/4tsp baking powder. Enough liquid to just moisten--sugar free Creamer, half and half, mashed banana, milk of any sort, even canola oil--then microwave for about a minute. If your protein powder has no egg protein in it (syntrax matrix is the one I use and it does) then use an egg or egg white for the liquid.

For me during the weight loss phase things like oatmeal and the homemade Protein Shake above (am I missing another protein source in there other than the Peanut Butter? ) would have been way to high carb and sugar. But your mileage may vary.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
