Samib226 11 Posted September 30, 2017 When I lay on my back I feel that at one of my incision sites and there's a knot. Is this normal?
Berry78 4,261 Posted September 30, 2017 If you mean a knot in the stitch, yes. Mine were just under the skin with translucent absorbable material that kinda looked like fishing line. If you mean something else, please describe it more.
Samib226 11 Posted September 30, 2017 Well they used glue to close my incisions so I don't have any stitches, but yes it's just right where the stitches would be. Like I press down on it with my hand and it feel like a knot where the incision was and slightly around it.
GassyGurl 428 Posted September 30, 2017 There is probably sutures inside, and glue holding the skin closed.I have the same knot feeling, and my Dr said it's scar tissue. MochaKelly 74 Posted September 30, 2017 My doctor said that it will go away with time. It is irritated a lot and feels like a hard ball in the middle of my stomach. I can cup my hand over it. The stitch line burns and itches quite a bit. I am four months and 2 weeks post-op. Is anyone else having trouble? GassyGurl 428 Posted September 30, 2017 Mine burned too when pressure was applied. But it was small, the size of a pea. My Pcp said totally normal and scar tissue should take a year to heal. That being said, mine is still hard (but not as hard) at 4 weeks, but doesn't bother me any more. 1 MochaKelly reacted to this

MochaKelly 74 Posted October 1, 2017 More like a small ball that a kid would play with. I showed it to him on my last visit. He stated that it should go down, if not I may have a hernia but it would be too soon in my recovery to operate, as I am only four months post-op. Sullie06 1,013 Posted October 2, 2017 I had the same thing. I was told it was swollen scar tissue and it would go away. It did, my incision lines are all completely flat. 1 Samib226 reacted to this
