jrsone 43 Posted September 26, 2017 Or did you have to lose any before surgery? My nutritionist wants me to lose 25 lbs. by March. It shouldn't be too hard. When I was weighed I was probably bloated and retaining Water so I'll probably lose 5-10 the first week. My wife and I are getting the surgery and we both started eating better yesterday. I'm eager for the surgery but am glad I'm doing something about it now and hopefully will lose a decent amount in 6 months. 1 Karla B. reacted to this
jessamarie24 173 Posted September 26, 2017 You can do it! I had to lose 30 lbs before me surgery and had about 6 months as well. At my 3 month I had only lost about 10 and they made it pretty clear if I didn't lost the 30 I wouldn't have surgery. At my pre-op appointment I had lost 40! Some days it sucked and some days I messed up but never let it set you back! Tomorrow's a new day congrats to you both! 1 real sight reacted to this
jrsone 43 Posted September 26, 2017 Thanks and congrats on your progress. I'm so thrilled to finally be doing this. I know for sure I can lose the weight, I lost over 100 lbs. in 2014 but I gained most of it back unfortunately which seems to be the story on my diets. Now that I need to be held accountable, it makes it much easier.
Diana_in_Philly 1,426 Posted September 26, 2017 In April 2016, I was 271.5. Surgery day (8/23/16) I was 246.9. I committed to getting my head in the game and eating better and exercising. I'm 13 months out and 102 pounds down. I found a personal trainer I liked in my pre-op stage and worked with her until I hit my 1 year mark. (She moved to Colorado for graduate school, so I'm working on finding someone new currently.) 1 Karla B. reacted to this
