Hospital vs Outpatient

I'm in the process of completing all my required appointments and was wondering, has anyone done their VSG in an outpatient setting?

My wife and I both did.
She thinks she could have benefitted from an overnight at the hospital.
I was fine.

Outpatient here. Had a revision from lapband to SIPS DS in one surgery.

8 hours at the hospital. Wonderful. I took l pain pill at home. I never even felt I had surgery. I was more worried about getting MRSA or STAPH and stressed to my surgeon get me out ASAP. Too many things go wrong in hospitals. Thankful Inhad an easy surgery and hardly any recovery time.

I had my sleeve outpatient. I am usually pretty tough when it comes to pain. For me I wish that I could have stayed overnight just because I had a terrible time with gas pains and the 1.5 hour drive through rush hour traffic was horrible for me.
