cp_catcher19 5 Posted September 24, 2017 I had my vsg on 10/20 and was released 10/22. Gas pains are still very real and painful! I've walked, drank, used gas-x strips, passed gas...any other suggestions? I'm hoping to sleep through the night without being woken up from gas. Also, how long did your incision pain last? I would love to get off the pain mess, but don't think I'm quite there yet.

I have walked, taken stuff etc...still there. If I could sleep on my stomach I could probably get it out quicker but it's too painful. Incision pain is still there, but only mild to me during the day, it's different at night...i only take a pain pill before I go to bed to help me sleep through the gas and pain. Everyone is different is what I keep hearing.Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app
DaleCruse 756 Posted September 24, 2017 Everyone is different, yes. Ahead of surgery three years ago, I was told I'd have gas. I packed plenty of those GasX strips to take to the hospital. I had the surgery & then... nothing. I waited for that gas to show up but it never did. Everyone is different. Good luck! 1 confusedturtle3 reacted to this
