Good evening! (At least it is in my neck of the woods!)

It's been a while since I posted on here. I am almost nine months out, down 168lbs total. A couple weeks ago I had a follow up appointment with my surgeon, who was VERY pleased with my progress. YAY! He told me that the people who tend to struggle or put weight back on later are those that don't spend time learning about food. He told me that I basically need to become an "amateur nutritionist" and read as much as I can. So here's my question-- Anyone have any nutrition books or websites that have helped them??

I would suggest finding a good registered dietitian ( not a a nutritionist as that's not a professional certification) that will work with you. Mine is great, she points me towards great books, and articles. A great book is "why we get fat" by Gary Taubes.

There are 3 books my nutritionist suggested (I haven't read them yet)

- Eat Q

- Women, food and God

-When Food is love
