And I've accepted the fact that I will always be technically "overweight" for my height (5'4) but I feel sooooo much healthier now!

And I was skeptical about surgery, but after reading more about it and realizing it was a tool more than an easy way out...I was more motivated than ever. Im a mom so the complications of surgery always scared me. Thats why i opted for the sleeve..bc it has very little complications. I put it off for long enough and came to a realization that i cant loose all this weight on my own. angyplus5 470 Posted September 21, 2017 It's exciting so naturally you want to share it! But I agree, before my surgery I didn't tell many people. But now, I'm proud of how far I came and I tell anyone who asks. It definitely is NOT the easy way out like people think. But to answer your question, the hardest part was just the adjusting to being around people eating yummy food and not being able to eat it, or enjoy it. I still struggle to eat slow to this day, and let me tell you...I pay the price every time. You'll learn quickly how much you can eat, and you'll know when you've ate too much. It's just the process of adjusting. It's really all mental. I can't wait to be where you are! I'm a really fast eater so I need to practice eating slow too! I had 4 kids so I had to eat really fast or I didn't eat! But obviously I choked it down! lmao!Sent from my SM-S907VL using BariatricPal mobile app

I've had countless times where I've ate too fast and ended up eating too much and having everything come right back up. It's not pretty. Lol. But after awhile, you do get into a routine. You can do it! [emoji4] 1 OmaJ reacted to this
