How are guys posting your pics on this site? I would like to learn how to do it so that I can share my accomplishments & recipes too!

How are you logging in to BP? I use the mobile site (not the app). At the bottom of where you’re posting there is “Click to choose files”. See pic....

I think I'll try it soon with stir fry Riced Cauliflower! :) It's great that they have it available in bags ready to go in the produce section at HEB now. It would take me awhile otherwise (& difficult for me, as I have screws in my thumb). Your recipe sounds great! :780_sparkling_heart:

Ok I had to make @Newme17 banana oatmeal Cookies today. I experimented a little and this is what I came up with.

4 ripe bananas

2.5 cups oatmeal

2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

raisins

walnuts

I cooked them for 15-20 at 350.

my dh has been devouring them. They turned out super yummy.

I have a very similar one I'm using, since I'm on soft foods & can't have nuts yet:

Healthy Cookies

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees

3 Mashed Bananas (ripe)
1/3 c Applesauce
2 cups oats
1/4 c Almond Milk
1/2 c Dark chocolate chips
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Cinnamon

Bake for 15-20 minutes.

Thank you for reminding me, they sound good, can't wait to try one!

I thought it would be interesting to look up the fat and cholesterol levels of some commonly eaten animal meats. Amazing how much is in only 2 oz. I think I will stick with my nuts and seeds, which have zero cholesterol:
Chicken breast 2 oz
TF- 2g
SF- 1g
Cholest- 86mg
Ground Beef 2 oz
TF- 10.4g
SF- 4.2
Cholest- 49mg
Ribeye Steak 2 oz
TF- 9g
SF- 3g
Cholest- 44mg
Pork Chops 2 oz
TF- 8.2g
SF- 3g
Cholest- 44mg
1 Large Egg
TF- 4.5g
SF- 1.5g
Cholest-185mg

2 oz of boneless skinless chicken breast has 47 mg Cholesterol

I made a big pot of sweet potato chili tonight. I basically followed this recipe:

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/239887/vegan-sweet-potato-chili/?internalSource=similar_recipe_banner&referringId=229081&referringContentType=recipe&clickId=simslot_4

except I used 1 can of black Beans and 1 can of red kidney.

I also added some Gardein meatless ground beef and corn. It was yummy!!

Hey everyone. Sorry, it’s been a while. I made an Indian dish called Chana Saag. First time making it. It’s vegetarian and smells so good. I’ll be serving it over rice for my hubby. No rice for me—still makes me too full too fast. Super easy recipe too, hope y’all can try t out sometime. I added extra curry.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
