Stall or Not ?!

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys, I had my surgery August 7th so it's been a month and two weeks so far. Within two weeks of my surgery I had lost 45 pounds but I had to get readmitted because of severe dehydration & other issues with tolerating Protein (etc). Now I'm at 370 pounds and the scale usually fluctuates, but it's not moving! I am able to eat food and I'm making healthier choices, I don't work out yet but I'm planning on hitting the gym. I'm wondering maybe it's what I'm eating why I'm not losing anything ? HELP PLEASE.

I am sorry , I am alittle confused, how long is it not moving? And I would account some of that weightloss to the fact you wee extremly dehydrated. If you mean august this year and we are only in september, then I would say no, you are not in a stall . :) It happens to us all the no movement or up and down.

What is your daily eating and Fluid amounts?

Hasn't been moving ever since i came out the hospital so two weeks or so, I eat usually twice or three times a day. I drink more than I eat though, Water alone makes me nauseous most of the time and I can't tolerate fake sugar; so I heavily dilute juice with water and ice and drink it.

I am asking what you are eating specifically , and what are the quantities? They say drastic weightloss sometimes our bodies need time to catch up. but it will start again. Are you reaching your liquid goals? When I drink more my weightloss starts again

I am almost 2 months out and have been having stalls. I called my doctors office and was told it is normal and some plateaus may last 2-3 weeks. I was told to continue to eat 5-6 times a day, hit my Protein goal, hit my Water intake and walk/exercise at least 40 minutes a day. Hope this helps.

Stalls happen, it could just be your body adjusting to the rapid weight loss you had directly out of surgery. It's hard to know for sure without knowing what exactly you are eating and how much.

It also could be partially due to being dehydrated. When I had the stomach bug a month ago I lost 10 pounds in 1 day and it took a good month for me to fully rebound. I gained back and then relost the weight I lost from the lack of fluids while sick.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
