greenbean74423 10 Posted September 16, 2017 Can anyone who has had weight loss surgery with Healthchoice as their insurance explain to me what healthchoice's requirements are? I know on their website it states you must be on a healthchoice plan 12 consecutive months prior to surgery. I was on healthchoice 2015 and 2016 and last option period global health came out with their $0 Co pays.... So I thought I'd try that cause my bills with healthchoice were stacking up... Type 2 Diabetes, neuropathy, heart palpitations u name it, all things related to me needing weight loss surgery. After I had already enrolled into global health for this year I learn that Bariatrics would be a covered benefit with healthchoice, but was already too late, I had already enrolled into global health! Would I have to wait 12 months or since I had already used healthchoice 12 consecutive before would they go ahead and approve me? With all that I have wrong with me waiting 12 months to have surgery is NOT in my best interest! Any help on this topic greatly appreciated!
