VegasGrace 1 Posted October 22, 2007 I was like you, thin. I was even in the military. -lean, mean, fighting machine. But then kids happened, Desert Storm...injured. 100 pounds! You know, I lost it all was trim, though not tiny. I had a Tummy Tuck and some other nip/tuck. I gained the weight back, then lost it all ....again just 2 years ago. Then moved out of the country and gained it all back. After returning to the states... I chose lap band to get that monkey off my back once and for all. The weight loss has been slow since my bmi was lower than yours. But just knowing...I won't ever gain it back!!!! How wonderful. I may gain a pound or two...but then it would be time for a fill. It's a lifestyle choice...one I've made. Good luck and keep us posted.
LJS69 0 Posted October 22, 2007 It was the best $20K I've ever spent!! I tried Medical Dr. programs, Weight Watchers and everything and couldn't keep off the weight. I've lost over 70 pounds since 2/15/07 and am loving the new me. I would do it all over again! Laura in SD
newbeginning 0 Posted October 22, 2007 If they'd only develop a band for the "head hunger" area of our brains! I'm not banded yet (have first appt. 11/2) but I know I'll still be a food addict with the band and will need to battle it the rest of my life My first appt. is 11/2 too! That is cool, we will be in this together! :gluck:
