dreamingsmall 1,125 Posted September 16, 2017 (edited) I dont feel I buy very much, I buy for me and my toddlers, yet I am constantly throwing food away as it goes off, I am buying less and less, and even the food I have meal prepped goes off lol. What things do you buy that have a longer life? Maybe you cook from frozen? I don't realise how long it will take me to eat some thing , I feel like living of eggs pepperami sticks and string cheese and my salmon in the freezer and my frozen veg instead of other things with short shelf life. Any ideas? Anyone have these issues? I meal preped alot of 2 ounce egg salad and then i dont feel like eating egg salad, then it goes of lol . and alot of my fresh veg goes off too etc. What food do you eat that has alonger shelf life? Introversion 1,876 Posted September 16, 2017 I don't meal-prep by the week, so I've never had to throw anything away. I cook enough food to last for today and tomorrow, such as a large meatloaf, chicken enchiladas, or tuna casserole in an 8-inch circular pan. When I'm not in a cooking mood I eat turkey/ham & cheese sandwiches (28 grams of Protein each).
FlyFatA$$Fly 155 Posted September 17, 2017 My wife and I were sleeved one moth apart. We were also not buying much but still throwing a lot away. I bought a vacuum sealer, and love it. I'll seal and freeze some of what we buy, and them pull it out later.
