Your needs may vary depending on whether you are male or female, whether you are still menstruating or not, etc. But the basic list I was given was a regular Multivitamin (for life), Vitamin B-12 (350-1000 mcg per day), calcium citrate with Vitamin D-3, 500 mg twice daily, at lunch and at dinner (should not be taken with the morning vitamins). If a menstruating woman, also Iron.

I personally take a B-complex vitamin and I also take Biotin because it supposedly will help with the Hair loss issue.

I take the Bariatric Fusion chewable multivitamin. Supposed to take it four times a day. I get in 3 most days. My numbers were great at my Sept appointment. It has everything so my surgeon recommended it instead of buying a bunch of seperate pills.

We're now susceptible to malnutrition since our stomach's the size of an egg. I agree with the other posts, but also include Biotin & Omega 3 Fish Oil. I keep thinking "Just do it" using the Nike slogan to help me stay on track. Being here, posting replies/talking about my own issues, has been a Godsend. I'm not alone, the sun rises/sets without my doing & I learn from others as we collectively share our healthy weight loss journeys. Good for you for starting this discussion: it helps everyone. Namaste.

I'm kinda bad about it too.

What I take daily are:

Biotin 5,000 iu
D3 10,000 iu. (I'm very low on vit D)
Calcium Citrate 600
OTC Iron pill every other day
2 Flintstones Complete Vitamins (these are what I hate. Any chewables really).

I was sleeved 2/8/17.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
