LeezaSleeved 24 Posted September 14, 2017 One of the main reasons that I really had my VSG was so that I could be more active. It's crazy but even as big as I am I've always loved sports and exercise. At 300+ pounds I played varsity basketball for two years in college. I played tennis as a kid and ballet but you get the point. I am now two weeks post op and I want to go to the gym sooo bad. With my pre op diet and post surgery I have already lost 40+ pounds and I just need to be out. I have been walking to the park and stuff but I just want to get on an elliptical and really get my heart rate up or do some yoga. Should I try or should I wait ? DropWt4Life 957 Posted September 14, 2017 My plan allowed for me to do light elliptical or treadmill starting at 2 weeks out. That is just my plan though. You should follow your doctor's plan as they are all different. You are doing very well for being two weeks out though. Congratulations! 1 LeezaSleeved reacted to this
mpolyard 10 Posted September 14, 2017 I recommend listening to Dr Duc C. Vuong's video on why not to exercise for at least 6 months. I've decided to wait that long because it makes A LOT of sense, it's a long video but at least watch the first 15 minutes of it. 1 LeezaSleeved reacted to this

Congratulations!I've just been walking a lot and it's crazy that I have as much energy as I do. I went for a 5 mile walk on Sunday and I'm on mile three right now walking as I type this. I go for walks everyday and I feel like it's really the reason why I've been feeling this good. I know I need to be taking it easy and letting my body heal but it's just so hard because I love being active and I really just wanna go do some light elliptical and cardio but I'm gonna pace myself. I called my doctors office today and they said to just keep walking for about two more weeks then I can start some cardio so I guess I'll just do that
