Probably not making my dietitian happy right now, I tried to keep it as healthy as possible but I did make my husband take me out for a last meal at Olive Garden so I could eat salad with some bread sticks (I limited myself to 2 although I wanted a lot more) and because I've been making better choices and my appetite is a lot different, I couldn't even come close to eating my whole entree. shellyb1827 4 Posted September 20, 2017 Mine is on the 27th. I started my Optifast shakes last week and continue on them until surgery. It's hard. I have cheated and had a couple bites of chicken and broccoli twice because my body felt drained and I had no energy. It seemed to help. Hopefully won't hurt me any. What are you guys planning on doing after surgery for meals after all liquids are over? Puréed anything sounds awful. They said try to get in all my Proteins with food before supplementing shakes but a blended chicken breast sounds disgusting!! Good luck guys!
