Kristen117 20 Posted September 11, 2017 Everyone says that you'll be constipated after surgery, but I'm the opposite. Crampy, painful, diarrhea! What is happening? I am 11 days out, and only on full liquids. Sent from my SM-G925V using BariatricPal mobile app
KristyAB 48 Posted September 12, 2017 Hmmmm....????....I have no idea....I have the opposite problem....maybe check and see if there is sucrose in any of the foods you're eating? It can cause serious gastrointestinal issues. Same thing for sucralose or aspartame. 1 Kristen117 reacted to this

I was fine once I started eating purée now I am constipated. I think it's just a shock to the stomach they told me I could take 1 Imodium if I felt I needed to stop in order not to be dehydrated. etc. etc. etc. 440 Posted September 12, 2017 Are you eating anything with "sugar alcohol" aka xylitol, sorbitol, etc.? That stuff was like the express train to Diarrhea Town before getting sleeved. I bet with a tiny pouch for a stomach, it would mess you up.
