Jacklyn55 0 Posted October 15, 2007 Well I made it through 3 weeks of Opti Fast and it was not that bad. I would just kill for a pizza though.... lol. I have my operation tomorrow at 930 am with Dr. Mumford at the SWLC!!! I was scheduled for 1130 but they called and got me in earlier which I am fine with... just get it over with! I have never been under anestisa (spelling lol) so am a little nervous. I hope the gas pain is not that bad either.... wish me luck and thanks to all for the advice over the past few weeks! Lianna170 2 Posted October 16, 2007 Hi Jacklyn, You are probably in surgery right about now but I wanted to let you know my thoughts are with you. Welcome to Bandland!!!:whoo:
Maridav9 0 Posted October 16, 2007 Everything will go well for you so dont worry. Biggest thing is pain in the shoulder from the gas. I walked all day, yes all day (sightseeing with a friend whod never been to Toronto) and I had very little problem with the gas. Felt a little sore from incisions for a week or less but compared to other op, this is a doddle. Will be thinking of you and welcome to bandsterland. Good luck Marilyn

Jacklyn55 0 Posted October 18, 2007 Thanks to all. Well I am 2 and a half days post op and man am I sore. I really think I underestimated the pain... my shoulder aches like mad and my stomach is constantly rumbling... I am scheduled to be back at work on Monday and hope I can make it. Those of you who travelled, I am in awe of you I could not be on a plane today I barely want to get out of bed....
Doddie63 6 Posted October 18, 2007 I travelled from Toronto to BC after my surgery. I guess i was very lucky as I had no problems. Jacklyn I know you don't want to get out of bed but make sure you do. Get up every hour and walk and cough. Glad you are OK and you start your new journey. LFERLAND 0 Posted October 20, 2007 Jacklyn, I am glad to hear that all went well for you. Please do not go back to work before you are feeling up to it. I was told to take 2 weeks to recover before I went back to work and I am glad I did. I hope your trip home goes well.
