zallykatz16 56 Posted September 7, 2017 Good Afternoon All, I'm just plain nervous. I'm trying to keep busy but it isn't working. Although this groups is a life saver. I am trying to get all my house in order but my husband keeps making a mess. So I've decided just to keep my areas clean so I will do well after surgery. I am worried about infections because I have gotten them before, but I feel that this time I will be okay. Thinking about the changes in my life ahead is daunting at times. On the other hand, it seems exciting to be starting over so to speak. Thanks for reading. 2 Mimi of 7 and AmylouRouxEnY reacted to this
AmylouRouxEnY 44 Posted September 7, 2017 I'm in the same boat as you! I'm so stressed out right now! Since I quit cooking for my family ( told them if I can't eat it I ain't cookin it! ) my kitchen is a disaster! But I'm to stressed about my surgery to worry about them. They're just gonna have to learn the hard way I guess. The past 2 weeks has gone by fast hasn't it? I bet we don't sleep very good this weekend, lol! We'll be to busy getting everything in order. 2 bigfatmama and zallykatz16 reacted to this

Shan W 24 Posted September 8, 2017 I'm not even trying to get the house clean, it's too much of a stress adder. My problem is different. 4 days from surgery and I started having an allergic reaction to my Protein Shakes yesterday. I've got a call into my clinic (2 calls and an email actually. I have no idea what I'm going to consume for the next 4 days. 1 zallykatz16 reacted to this
James Marusek 5,244 Posted September 8, 2017 Good luck on your surgery. I will pray that it is successful. Remember to take a good before photograph so that you have something to compare to after surgery. Many times we are blind to our obesity. We do not see ourselves. Therefore when the weight begins to drop off rather dramatically, we question if this is really happening. Photographs are a good visualization of our success. Many people carry a before and after photo with them, just to remind themselves of their success. And after the surgery remember Walk, Walk, Walk. 1 zallykatz16 reacted to this

Hey Zallykatz, I just sent you an email feel free to reach out to me and let me know what's going through your head. I'm here for you. If your worried about infections why not ask the surgeon to give you antibiotics during and after surgery as a precaution. I have an artificial hip and I must have antibiotics before all procedures to make sure I don't get an infection in my hip. With the diabetes I am prone to infection so the precautionary measures do give me peace of mind. 1 zallykatz16 reacted to this
