I am only a week out and my wife is pressuring me for it. I really do not have the desire or the energy right now. However, I know she needs the intimacy and closeness. I don't want to rupture my suture line and croak mid sex.

Time to get creative with intimacy , everyone heals at their own rate so do lots of romantic stuff with each other, and the time will fly and you will be fit in no time ;)

I don't want to think about sex right now. Maybe after 10 days or so. Getting in and out of bed is hard enough. Can't think of being intimate right now.

I waited a good 3 weeks post surgery. In addition to being so sore, I just didn't feel sexy with my lovely ketosis breath. I'll be 5 weeks out tomorrow and am now all good. Much happier husband!!!

I'm 3 weeks out and still pretty sore

So, sex isn't even on my radar right now. My hubby is 16 years older than me so it hasn't been an issue yet.

*sigh* (I didn't think about me being in my sexual prime(30's for women) and him almost being 50 when we said "I do"......)

Ha ha ha.
Poor old dude.
I can relate, I used up all my sex drive in my early twenties.
I could perform at the drop of a hat.
Now I need a blue pill, sad times.

That could get better! Pre-op, with my diabetes not in check, I probably should have been using a pill. Now 90 lbs. later, happy to say everything is fully-functioning and in better shape than it's been in a long time!

Great name, BTW. :)

Glad to hear it.
I am hoping with weight loss I can stop using the blue pill.
Walter Sobchak is easily John Goodman's best role.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
